NCC & other Connecticut Community Colleges for 2021-22
Note: Connecticut Community Colleges may have $0 Tuition & Fees costs for In-State Resident Students coming directly from High School. But Students must have done the following:
- Register at the Community College early. (You must call the Community College and ask when you must register by to get State coverage of any balance not covered by your FAFSA application).

In-State Resident NCC Full-Time Cost
- (Excludes High School Senior going for free entering directly as a Freshmen in 2021)
- Tuition & Fees: $4,586 per semester.
- Total: $9,172 for Fall & Spring
- Books & Supplies (All Students: $250-$400 per semester (varies) plus for Freshmen: laptop for $500-$600. Computer must be able to work in Word. Inexpensive 3-in-1 Printer advisable ($80-$110). All students get free Microsoft Word Program online with their ID. Total: Freshmen: $1,100-$1,500. Sophomores: $500-$800.
- Total Freshmen living at home: $10,272-$10,672.

New England State Colleges have discounted tuition (called "Proximity Rates") for Connecticut students! Check them out!
UMASS College System gives a discount to CT Residents of $10,000 at UMASS Boston for "Regional Proximity" (Tuition: $25,203 Room (off-campus) $8,100; Meals $3,700; Books: $800. UMASS Dartmouth (discount is $10,597), estimate: $36,270 for Tuition, Room and Meals. Check out all the UMASS Colleges except Amherst, which does not give a discount.
SUNY: The State Universities of New York System also give discounts on tuition to CT students. But each school is different and must be checked individually.
